Our facilities might provide the physical shelter struggling local families need, but it’s people that keep the Fauquier Family Shelter running. In addition to our dedicated staff, we rely on volunteers for a wide range of essential tasks that drive the program. 

 

Whatever your interests or skills may be, there is an opportunity for you to make a difference in the community through volunteer work at Fauquier Family Shelter Services. Whether tutoring, transportation, repairs or clerical work, FFS volunteers, our operations are driven by locals who want to “give back” by sharing their time and talents. 

 

Help is desired on both a regular and an as-needed basis. Please note volunteers working directly with children will be required to complete and pass a background check. On the following page you will find some of the ways that we may utilize your talents.
